We invite you to take a moment to learn more about our operations in Africa and how we are working hard in the fight against AIDS. The Awassa Children’s Project is an organization that promotes sensible, culturally responsible relief work aimed at assisting children primarily orphaned by AIDS, educating people in Africa’s Sub-Saharan region about AIDS prevention, and offering a proactive approach towards the resolution of serious issues facing region. The Awassa Children's Project operates two Non-Governmental Organizations in Awassa, Ethiopia:

The Awassa Children's Project operates two Non-Governmental Organizations in Awassa, Ethiopia:

Awassa Children's Center

Provides housing, education, career education training, healthcare and support to approximately 60 children, most of whom have been orphaned by AIDS.

Awassa Youth Campus:

Provides a safe environment for youth in Awassa, and is home to One Love Theatre (AIDS Education, Landmine Awareness Training, environmental and female-rights issues), an Aikido Peace Dojo, and Children's Workshops based on sports, art, music and dance.

We believe that the children, by their presence, will have an immeasurable impact in the fight against AIDS.
